Community Learning Centre
The Learning Centre has welcomed over 100,000 people since opening in 1999 with students attending aviation themed educational activities that are interactive and link with the school curriculum. Programmes are offered to students in the boroughs surrounding Heathrow.

Information Communication Technology
Business focused programmes featuring British Airways’ social media use, heritage, journey planning and use of ba.com.
There is also an online ICT learning resource (see bottom of page).
Hands on activities enable students to develop skills needed to deliver outstanding customer service and understand its impact on the reputation and performance of the airline.
Complements the primary and secondary schools curriculum for schools within the local area and involves activities on nearby Harmondsworth Moor.
Events giving local pupils the opportunity to explore aspects of other countries, the language and culture.

As part of our commitment to developing the knowledge and skills of students in our local communities, we offer a small number of quality five-day work placements in a variety of departments across the airline. These include Terminal 5, Engineering, Flight Training, Marketing and Cargo.

Resources which can be used by teachers in school include practical activities such as word searches and quizzes and photocopiable materials.
An online learning microsite for use in school to enable students to practise ICT skills whilst exploring the world of British Airways. Teachers can use as part of their classroom activities.
